Our Philosophy
Play is the work of childhood..and
"Parents are the best teachers"
Early childhood is the most critical period in human growth and development, for it is the period when the foundations of academic achievement are laid. Through play, children seek to understand the world around them and their place within it. Through structured activities, children develop the neurological pathways necessary for mental, physical, and social growth. During these early years, learning experiences must be diverse, creative, carefully planned and based on sound principles of child development. We believe that a child's natural curiosity and sense of wonder are very special assets entrusted to us, and through these, we seek to impart a love of learning in every child we serve.
For "learning through play" to be truly meaningful, we focus on helping the child become a critical observer of his or her own environment, and develop problem solving skills. With the Parents support and encouragement much can be achieved
Our goal is to help the child become a child-centered and active participant in his or her own early education. Our teachers and parents will always foster this process in an individualized, language-rich environment through the questions they ask, the goals they set, the information they provide, and the behavior they model.

Curriculum
WeePlay PrepPreschool curriculum has been developed to reflect our Philosophy which believes in providing a combination of structured and unstructured activities, relying heavily on learning through play and taking advantage of “teachable moments.” This “developmentally appropriate” program puts the emphasis on preparing the child for a life of learning. It prepares a young child for the more structured routine found in a regular school setting and introduces the teacher as an authority figure. This model presents benefits for the child as they learn basic social and problem solving skills. They gain knowledge through exposure to a number of different activities and experiences. Since our PrepPreschool programs are organized as an interactive “learning” center, the children will share school/play areas. Our daily schedules will reflect these shared relationships. Children schedules will involve moving into various "learning centers". This team approach provides the teachers and the parents, with the best opportunities of observing and assessing the child more closely as they move, interact, discover and express their interests.
Our Play Centered Learning Curriculum may include:
Active Play, Language/Literacy Development, Art/Exploration,
Imaginative Play, Music & Movement, Interactive Play,
Gross and Fine Motor skills, Manipulatives, Social Development,
Cognitive Development, Sensory-Motor Development..and more!

Our parents who choose to participate must sincerely be committed to working together with the teachers and ALL the children in our PrepPreschool program, to provide the early foundation for lifelong learning.
Everything about WeePlay PrepPreschool environment has been meticulously designed to help our children "grow in learning'
Parents who choose to participate in fact become "room-parent-teachers" in the classroom. Our parents enrich our program by contributing their time,talent, commitment and various skills.
Parent participation ensures the smooth operation of an exceptional early childhood education program. And allows parents the opportunity to truly make a difference.

Our PrepPreschool is a part time, two days a week program, which is age specific and is structured as an introduction to early education
Our PreTwo's - for those between 20 to 24 months
Fridays Only from 9a.m. to 11:45 a.m
Our WeePlay Two's - for those 2-3 years old
Monday and Wednesday 9 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.
Tuesday and Thursday 9 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.
Our WeePlay Three's/Four's- for those 3-4years old
